Song Sistas is a new programme being delivered at Raw Material this summer which is tailored specifically for 12-16 year old girls, providing them with the safe and nurturing environment in which to experiment, be themselves and make music together.

Over the course of 4 consecutive days, our participants will work collaboratively towards the creation of their own songs from scratch, exploring writing techniques together in the first session, before moving on to developing their voice and and learning performance techniques.

The course culminates in an event for friends and family to attend, in which everyone will share the music they’ve been working on and celebrate each other’s achievements over the course.

This programme is open to all young girls with an interest in singing and songwriting, regardless of experience or proficiency. Most important of all is that participants come ready to learn, work together and support each other to be their best musical selves.
